The Aurora:  Illuminating and Connecting the FVSD

The Aurora is a new Fort Vermilion School Division online newspaper, which will be written by students for students.  Illuminating  the schools and students, The Aurora will allow students to tell others about the great things that are happening in their schools, and will cooperatively connect the schools of the Fort Vermilion School Division.  Students will be able to have their voices heard by representing their schools through writing articles, taking pictures and creating videos.  The Aurora will feature school news, sports, arts & entertainment, and a student showcase.  Every school in the Fort Vermilion School Division will have a group of students that report for and represent their school.  The project is coordinated by Student Engagement Coordinators Wendy Morris and Dave Gallant.  Schools involved in the project are Rainbow Lake, High Level Public, Florence MacDougall, Spirit of the North, Upper Hay River,  Rocky Lane, Fort Vermilion Public, St. Mary’s, Hill Crest Community, La Crete Public, SandHills Elementary, Ridgeview, Buffalo Head, Blue Hills.  Show your support for the students of the FVSD by reading The Aurora.
